Founder & Financial Advisor

Hi, I'm Evan Hammond.

I'm a Charleston native, a husband, and a father of three. I grew up walking the aisles of my family's boat shop. It's what inspired me to take the leap and launch Sage Street Wealth. I understand the realities entrepreneurs face, because I'm living a version of them too, and I bring that perspective into every client relationship.

Outside of work, my life centers around family and the outdoors. I coach my daughter's softball team. I sit on the board of my best friend's nonprofit. I love hunting, fishing, hosting friends, and I stay physically active because it keeps my energy and balance where they need to be.

All of it is a reminder that relationships and time matter more than anything we can measure on a balance sheet.

Those values guide how I work with clients. I focus on long-term relationships, clear thinking, and planning that supports not just financial goals — but the lives and businesses my clients are actually building.

The Sage Street name story.

A person who offers counsel, guidance, and compassion.

When I was 18, my dad passed away unexpectedly. He was a dedicated business owner, and his foresight in having a financial plan in place made a profoundly difficult time much easier for my family. That experience is why I became a financial planner. The name "Sage" honors both my dad for his wisdom and the sages who guided me after he was gone — a constant reminder of our core purpose. To offer the same wise guidance and dedication to our clients that was given to me and my family.

STREET
Where daily life happens — the grit, the grind, the hustle.

"Street" represents the practical, boots-on-the-ground reality of our clients' lives. I vividly remember my dad at his boat business, bringing multiple clean shirts to work, only for them to be covered in sweat, dirt, and grime by day's end. It reminds us that our work isn't just about numbers. It's about understanding the tangible lives and aspirations of the ambitious entrepreneurs we serve. I'm on the street with my clients, hustling to help ensure their financial success.
